Post by alister | June 23, 2010 | SeaFrance Ferries | Comment

SeaFrance FerriesA customer service survey by eDigital Research has seen SeaFrance Ferries website voted as the number one for usability and customer service. The survey, conducted in the first two months of this year, saw mystery shoppers place the website at the top thanks to a massive 78.4% of the votes!

SeaFrance’s main strengths were the websites -

E-commerce Marketing Manager at SeaFrance, Phil Taylor, said -

We have always prided ourselves on customer service and, over the last year, we have also worked very hard to create a user friendly and attractive website for our customers – we’re delighted that our efforts have been recognised.

The eDigitalResearch study is conducted using a mystery shopping panel who had to use their own computers and internet connections to gage how most consumers would use the website instead of the using laboratory type conditions which may give an unfair evaluation. This allows not only a ‘real’ experience, but also an excellent way to check a websites usability and functionality for people booking online across the country.

With SeaFrance operating up to 15 Dover to Calais ferry crossing a day, it’s easy to see why they are not only one of the busiest, but also one of the quickest ways to get to France from the UK. Thanks to their excellent online booking services, SeaFrance will continue to stay on step ahead of the game when it comes to providing consumers with a hassle free start to their holiday.

SeaFrance Unaffected by Volcano Ash Clouds!

Post by alister | April 16, 2010 | SeaFrance Ferries | Comment

Volcanic ashNow that is a title text I didn’t think I’d ever be writing! As most of you are aware, the volcanic ash that has put a halt to all airport traffic in the UK has caused no end of disruption to many people’s travel plans. In fact my poor friend has had to cancel a weekend in Paris due to the flight problems, but just because the airports aren’t working, doesn’t mean you can’t leave the country.

SeaFrance Ferries are now taking foot passengers until lunchtime on Saturday 17th April 2010 alongside the usual traffic on their Dover to Calais ferries, whilst P&O Ferries bookings have gone through the roof since the volcanic ash created this back log of delays for disgruntled airspace passengers. It’s simple to book and with ferry crossings at less than 2 hours, you’ll be out of the UK in no time at all.

There’s plenty of space available at the moment, so if you need to get to France in a rush, this could be the only way out of the country for the time being. Rumours of submarines being chartered are at the moment unfounded, but not beyond the realms of possibility!
