Exploring is Beautiful the Latest Innovative Campaign from Eurostar
Throughout the Summer you may have seen posters, online banners and TV adverts (see below) for Eurostars “Exploring is Beautiful”. The campaign was aimed at encouraging people to explore Europe via Eurostar trains due to their short travel times and wide variety of locations available. This is the latest in a long line of innovative campaigns from the travel company who is mainly synonymous with providing trains to France, but they also reach further afield.
With Eurostar you can travel throughout Europe in the luxury of one of their beautifully equipped trains to locations such as :
- Lyon : home of some of the finest French cuisine, and Champions League football with the successful local team.
- Avignon : in the South of France and perfect for site seers with the medieval walled city certainly providing a taste for the theatrical and the spectacular.
- Marseille : a beautiful seaside city with great whether and is known as a stylish, proud and traditional city.
Eurostar Fund Shane Meadows Film
As mentioned previously Eurostar are always looking to break ground in the way they promote their business and the many ways in which it can improve your travel options, and this was highlighted recently when I was reading an article about current UK smash hit TV programme “This Is England 86″ by Shane Meadows. I’d seen a number of his films including the precursor to the TV programme “This is England” and also the delightful “Somers Town”, all of the above starring the excellent Thomas Turgoose in lead roles.
Somers Town won critical acclaim as a story of gritty urban life and the friendship of Tommo (Turgoose) and his Polish mate Marek set on the streets near King’s Cross Station. What I didn’t know until I read up a bit was that Somers Town was actually funded by a grant from Eurostar! Despite providing the major funding there is no overt Eurostar branding in the film, the two main characters do take a trip to France on the Eurostar but it is never thrust into the spotlight as to get in the way of what is a great film.
So why not follow in the footsteps of Tommo and his Marek by exploring Europe with Eurostar today!
